PSEUDO POEMS S/S2020 draws inspiration from George Balanchine’s ballet “A Midnight’s Summer Dream”， in which the master of modern ballet focused on showing a group image of the dancers. who were also given fully freedom to narrate the show. Therefore, a surprising randomness in a rehearsal might be kept into the final play. 

 

In this season, designer MINGYAN YANG were inspired by moves and actions from the girls on the stage. With the intends to bring this mighty but romantic scene into real life, the pieces are designed with flowy details and unexcepted layers that interact with the body moves. We would love to design for PSEUDO POEMS’ girls to bring out an unexpected side of her, just like what George Balanchine did to create the post-romantic modernism.
